The last Part of the first Volume of the Property Law Review includes articles on covenants as regulation, township leasing on Aboriginal land, Europe, human rights and land law in the 21st century and the non-restoration of land in South Africa.
The Summer 2011 issue of the Workplace Review includes several interesting articles and sections on a range of topics including, but not limited to, protected industrial action, unfair dismissal and Facebook, the approach of Fair Work Australia to evidence, work health and safety, costs in discrimination matters and the general protections provisions of the Fair Work Act 2009.
The latest Part of the Local Government Law Journal contains several interesting articles covering a wide range of topics including a proposed redesign of local government based on an outcome, services and regulatory division of functions and organisation, consultation requirements under New Zealand’s Local Government Act 2002, climate change adaptation risk management in local government, development in New South Wales, Queensland floodplain guidelines and managing invasive species.
The second Part of Volume 2 of the Northern Territory Law Journal includes two interesting articles and several case notes. The first article comes from PA Keane and is based on the inaugural oration delivered by Justice Keane at the Inaugural Austin Asche Oration in Law and Governance at Charles Darwin University. The second article is by Cameron Ford and discusses whether the Anunga Guidelines can be accommodated within the Uniform Evidence Act regime.
The latest issue of Insolvency Law Journal includes articles on the increased prevalence of class actions in the commercial context, the practice of pre-pack transactions and applications by insolvency practitioners to the court for directions. There is also a Report from New Zealand regarding the status of the Commissioner of Inland Revenue in New Zealand’s corporate insolvency regime.
The final Part for 2011 of the Journal of Banking and Finance Law and Practice includes several interesting articles across a range of issues, including the new Product Disclosure Statement regime, personal property securities legislation in Australia, Canada and New Zealand, the case of Goodridge v Macquarie Bank and novation of (syndicated) loan agreements and an analysis of the rule in Inglis, the law of equity and new trends, plus much more.
The first Part of Volume 2 of Family Law Review opens with an Editorial and a Tribute to Ray Watson, followed by articles on the history of the Family Law Act and the Family Court and the therapeutic justice origins of the Family Court. There is also a range of sections including Child Support Update, Family Dispute Resolution, International Family Law and Recent Cases.
The final Part for Volume 39 of the Australian Business Law Review includes articles on increased private enforcement of cartel laws in Australia, deductibility of interest and the evolution of Australia’s harmonised OHS laws. There is also a Competition Law and Market Regulation section and a Banking and Finance section.
The second Part for Volume 22 of the Australian Intellectual Property Journal includes articles by Sarah Bennett regarding the compatibility of plain packaging with TRIPs and an article by Jani McCutcheon critically considering the originality threshold in two important cases for IP law. This Part also includes a Topic of Interest from Mark Sumptor discussing IP and competition law.
