What is The Queensland Lawyer?

The Queensland Lawyer is a high quality refereed journal which has, for over 30 years, provided coverage of the latest legal developments in Queensland. Both intellectual and practical, The Queensland Lawyer publishes topical articles, comments, reviews and notes, as well as selected cases from the District Court, appeals from the Magistrates Court and decisions from State tribunals.

The Queensland Lawyer benefits from the oversight of Andrew West, General Editor. Mr West was admitted to the Bar in 1982 and his practice ranges across a wide variety of civil and criminal work.

Invitation for Submissions

The General Editor is now inviting submissions for articles, letters, comments, reviews or case notes for publication in The Queensland Lawyer in 2014 and 2015. The Journal welcomes submissions from judges, practitioners and academics as well as law students. The Journal issues quarterly and complies with the Higher Education Research Data Collection (HERDC) Specifications for peer review.
