New Federal Court Rules prepare for Fair Work

The Federal Court Rules were amended on 24 June 2009 by the Federal Court Amendment Rules 2009 (No 2) (No 161 of 2009). The new rules commence from 1 July 2009 and substitute the following orders:

  • O 48  - Fair Work proceedings; and
  • O 50 – Case stated and questions reserved.

The Federal Magistrates Court Rules 2001 were also amended on 24 June 2009 by the Federal Magistrates Court Amendment Rules 2009 (No 2) (No 160 of 2009). The new rules commence from 1 July 2009 and insert new Chapter 47 - Fair Work Division.
