{"id":1901,"date":"2011-03-24T16:31:01","date_gmt":"2011-03-24T05:31:01","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/sites.thomsonreuters.com.au\/journals\/?p=1901"},"modified":"2011-03-24T16:31:01","modified_gmt":"2011-03-24T05:31:01","slug":"property-law-review-launch","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/sites.thomsonreuters.com.au\/journals\/2011\/03\/24\/property-law-review-launch\/","title":{"rendered":"Property Law Review Launch"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"https:\/\/sites.thomsonreuters.com.au\/journals\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/3\/2011\/03\/DSC04703_final_resized3.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-thumbnail wp-image-1914\" src=\"https:\/\/sites.thomsonreuters.com.au\/journals\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/3\/2011\/03\/DSC04703_final_resized3-150x150.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"150\" height=\"150\" srcset=\"https:\/\/sites.thomsonreuters.com.au\/journals\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/3\/2011\/03\/DSC04703_final_resized3-150x150.jpg 150w, https:\/\/sites.thomsonreuters.com.au\/journals\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/3\/2011\/03\/DSC04703_final_resized3-200x200.jpg 200w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 150px) 100vw, 150px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><em><a href=\"http:\/\/www.thomsonreuters.com.au\/catalogue\/ProductDetails.asp?id=11700\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Property Law Review<\/a>, Thomson Reuters&#8217; newest journal, was launched last Tuesday night (15 March) at the UNSW Law School city campus.<\/p>\n<p><\/em><\/p>\n<p>General Editors Professor\u00c2\u00a0Brendan Edgeworth, Dr Lyria Bennett Moses and Cathy Sherry\u00c2\u00a0welcomed members of the judiciary, members of the profession and academics to mark the occasion.<\/p>\n<p>Professor Edgeworth began the evening by expressing, on behalf of the General Editors, the vision of the journal:<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;<em>we do hope that it will bring to the foreground issues that currently lurk in the background, and so give property law a prominence in the academic literature that it may recently have lost. \u00c2\u00a0We want to bring it back closer to the centre of the legal landscape.<\/em>&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Working with the General Editors, as Professor Edgeworth noted, is an Editorial Board which &#8220;without exaggeration, represents some of the most distinguished researchers and writers in property law in the Anglophonic world at this time&#8221;.<strong><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Launching the journal was special guest, Sir Anthony Mason, former Chief Justice of the High Court.
