Justice Rachel Pepper as the Section Editor for a brand new Environmental Law Section in\u00c2\u00a0<em><a href=\"http:\/\/www.thomsonreuters.com.au\/australian-law-journal-and-reports-parts-bound-volumes\/productdetail\/72381\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">The Australian Law Journal<\/a><\/em>. As part of a reinvigoration program, a range of new Sections are being commissioned to ensure that subscribers are receiving a wide range of valuable and useful content.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/sites.thomsonreuters.com.au\/journals\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/3\/2013\/11\/Justice-Pepper1.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\" wp-image-5717 alignleft\" alt=\"Justice Pepper\" src=\"https:\/\/sites.thomsonreuters.com.au\/journals\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/3\/2013\/11\/Justice-Pepper1-701x1024.jpg\" width=\"165\" height=\"241\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Justice Pepper was appointed as a Judge of the Land and Environment Court of NSW in May 2009.<\/p>\n<p>From 1997 until her appointment in 2009, Justice Pepper practised as a barrister at the New South Wales Bar.\u00c2\u00a0 Her principal areas of practice were general commercial law and public law, including constitutional law.\u00c2\u00a0 While at the bar, Justice\u00c2\u00a0Pepper was a member of Bar Council from 2000-2009 and was Secretary of the Bar Council from 2006 to 2009.<\/p>\n<p>Prior to being called to the bar, Justice Pepper was the Associate to Justice McHugh in the High Court of Australia from 1996 to 1997.<\/p>\n<p>Justice Pepper\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s expertise on issues relating to Environmental law of will be of great benefit to readers of\u00c2\u00a0<em><a href=\"http:\/\/www.thomsonreuters.com.au\/australian-law-journal-and-reports-parts-bound-volumes\/productdetail\/72381\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">The Australian Law Journal<\/a>\u00c2\u00a0<\/em>and we take great pleasure in welcoming her to the team.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Thomson Reuters is pleased to announce the appointment of The Hon.
