The comprehensive selection of articles covers the following approaches and methods to property law scholarship:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>theoretical approach;<\/li>\n<li>doctrinal approach;<\/li>\n<li>socio-legal approach;<\/li>\n<li>empirical approach;<\/li>\n<li>critical legal approach;<\/li>\n<li>cultural and social history;<\/li>\n<li>comparative methods;<\/li>\n<li>law and economics approach;<\/li>\n<li>applied property research;<\/li>\n<li>property, law and space;<\/li>\n<li>anthropological; and<\/li>\n<li>feminist.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>In their introduction, Professor Blandy and Professor Bright describe the articles as &#8220;appetisers&#8221;, designed to introduce property law scholars to different approaches to the scholarship, and to refer readers to more detailed sources. They add:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>Each contributor was asked to address three issues:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Why? What unique perspective\/insight does this approach provide? (What is the value of this\u00c2\u00a0approach?)<\/li>\n<li>How? What would you say are the key features of this approach to property law?<\/li>\n<li>Challenges: What are the key challenges facing a researcher adopting this approach?<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Professor Blandy and Professor Bright have assembled an invaluable and uniquely thorough overview of research methods in property law.
