Thomson Reuters and\u00c2\u00a0Lander & Rogers co-hosted a special\u00c2\u00a0breakfast discussion on \u00e2\u20ac\u0153The Future of Industrial Relations\u00e2\u20ac\u009d held at the Lander & Rogers Sydney office on 22 April 2016.<\/p>\n

The keynote speaker was Senator the Hon Michaelia Cash (Minister for Employment and Minister for Women, and Minister Assisting the Prime Minister\u00c2\u00a0for the Public Service),\u00c2\u00a0whose interview was published in the Summer 2016 issue of the\u00c2\u00a0Workplace Review<\/a><\/em>\u00c2\u00a0journal (Vol 7 Pt 1<\/a>).\u00c2\u00a0Joining the Senator in a very timely Panel discussion about the future of the workplace were key\u00c2\u00a0industry figures\u00c2\u00a0Wilhelm Harnisch (CEO, Master Builders Australia) and Russell Zimmerman (Executive Director, Australian Retailers Association).<\/p>\n

Chaired by panel mediator Neil Napper of Lander & Rogers, who is a co-General Editor of the journal, topics covered ranged from the areas of reform across Australia’s\u00c2\u00a0industrial relations framework; the need to increase women\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s participation in the workforce; ensuring the safety of jobs and security of investment in the Australian economy; and what our future workplace might look like, given the influence\u00c2\u00a0of start-ups and other creative disruptors revolutionising the workplace model.<\/p>\n
