In January this year, Justice Young, General Editor of The Australian Law Journal, announced plans to develop the Journal throughout 2011.

Justice Young said: “Although the feedback we receive about the Journal is almost entirely positive, the Journal team knows that we can be even better. We have been thinking about the content. Our preliminary view is that it would be good to spread around the ‘Current Issues’ column and probably ‘Recent Cases’ as well so that leading judges and lawyers outside New South Wales would have free rein with their say, perhaps three times a year.

Further, we have been re-examining the specialist columns. Should more topics be covered, and if so which? Should the frequency of the existing columns be adjusted so that they appear more or perhaps less frequently. Are there other lawyers among our readers who would reliably regularly contribute a column three or four times a year, always meeting the deadline and not merely always riding the same hobby horse?

Our Assistant General Editor, Angelina Gomez of the New South Wales Bar, would be pleased to hear comments on these proposals including any offers of contributions (email [email protected]).”

To ensure the Journal continues to meet your needs, we’d love to hear your feedback about what you think would make The Australian Law Journal even better.  Simply leave a comment on this post, or email Angelina Gomez at the email address provided above.
